A Mindful Creative Life
a gentle creative ritual for when you need somewhere peaceful to land
the Practice is not another course...
it's definitely not another thing you need to be good at or reach as some kind of achievement

It's just one beautiful reset moment- a place where your hands can slow down
& your mind can finally exhale
the Practice is for the part of you
that misses making things
simply because they brought you joy!
Being OKAY is About Slowing Down
Maybe you've forgotten what it feels like...

not to long ago creativity wasn't about being good at it,
selling everything you made, posting about it non-stop
or improving on so called creative skills

You coloured in because you loved to add colour to your pages
You doodled around your notebook pages for fun
You wrote little thoughts & love notes knowing you'd never show anyone
You painted because watching colours melt on the paper felt like a little magical moment
Somewhere along the way...

life became very loud as work followed us home
our phones filled every quiet moment
& even hobbies became a performance

Maybe what you've really been missing isn't creativity,
maybe what you've been missing is the feeling it gave you
Just breathe my friend, you are not alone!
this is why I created The Practice
Not because we need another creative course or a commitment to meditate every day
Because we need somewhere to return to every week where time feels slower!
A place where beautiful habits begin to take shape

Where creating becomes something gentle enough to fit into real life

Sometimes it's enough to have a peaceful 20-minutes after dinner
Sometimes a slow Saturday morning before anyone else wakes up works
Sometimes the whole weekend spent making beautiful little things is the way you want to go

Here is no catching up - nobody to turn on the pressure
Nothing can fall behind if you need to do the dishes first

This is just a creative rhythm that quietly becomes part of your life
A fresh page & your favourite things
Watching watercolours slowly spread across paper forming shapes you haven't seen before

A comforting phrase written in the corner of your sketchbook next to a tiny row of sketched flowers
A page coming into full bloom as the house grows quieter & more still than one hour ago
"Taking time for myself with allies & Tanya is both a challenge and wonderful! I love the flow & colours on the paper with watercolours. It will often 'puddle' to my surprize. I enjoy these practices before the evening dinner or when needing time out.
The different mediums can at times feel confusing, yet it is still a growing in the skills. My biggest challenge perhaps was not starting when classes first began. I am still finding my playing OKAY!"
- Fee
"I love everything about how Tanya shares the mindfulness practices. Her classes are lively, interesting and very relaxing. And I don't need to take anything, it is all provided for me and ready when I get there.
I can unwind my mind, dispel frustrations and release the build up of emotions too. Thanks for being you."
- Love ya, xo Jane H.
"Stress went away gradually and the old habits were replaced with my long lost hobbies."
- Kitten Mum
It was the playfulness of colour that awakened my emotions and gave way to an expressive side I have not seen in years. It felt so natural, strong, and in harmony with something peaceful."
- Tara Lovejoy
This isn't about making art

It's about making space to release stress

You don't have to be artistic in any capacity

You also don't need an extensive range of expensive supplies - nobody needs to see what you made

This is simply going to be your little corner in the week

a place where your nervous system softens, where your breathing slows down a little & where your hands remember how to be gentle again
Deb's story...
"This was exactly what I needed today. At first I simply watched as Tanya created, then I reached for my tiny watercolour set and somehow those blobs became a place to relieve stress. I realised I hadn't relaxed like this in a long time."

Rebecca Holiday said:
"Tanya has a simplified creative mindfulness!
I love sketching nonsense and its great knowing I can call it a positive weekly goal."
Mel Kindle shared this in her email
"...I was so surpised to learn that I didn't need any experience in any creative fields to benefit from the creative mindful practices you teach Tanya. I could see everything clearly as you showed me everything as I progressed.
And my favourite part was Tanya's gently guidance."

Hear from the community why showing up for yourself matters:
🌸"I have no more blank page fears..." - Bianca
We know all about staring at the "blank page phenomenon". We'll always guide you so nothing feels too hard to try or too intimidating to continue. You'll have printable resource every month & these journals become your companion documents to help you play along, even if you've never used sketchbooks or watercolours before

🌸"The only place where I get real tutorials in real time." - Gail Hill
I'll show you my sketchbook pages in full view video tutorials before every exercise. There are audio guides to use when you go through the 21-days of mindfulness. Relaxing meditations, visuals for clarity & every example image you receive can be used as collage in your sketchbooks, journals & as part of your creative play

🌸"I'm quiet, that OK with our community, I'm still feeling supported." Anne
Gentle guidance allows you to discover yourself in full expression of what you are able to do. We like to support you where you are in every process without pressure to complete any of the practices. Simply having fun with no end result or comparison to others work. The transformations that happen for you are encouraged through the pages you create on your monthly journeys, although everyone's journey will look completely different

We would love this for you
A place where there's no pressure - no deadlines - not a perfect outcome
Just the simple joy of making something beautiful in colour
PJ, one of our community leaders shared her journey:
"I started with Tanya I got to understand how colour flowed, how it related to my personality and emotions.... as she took me into mindful practices to create journals and diaries to express my inner self. Learning to paint and create pictures, fantasy animals, colour palettes, and abstracts. All her videos feel like the best course of action I have ever taken as each individual aspect worked under the same intentions but expectations and results were all individual."

Susan Barnard loves everything!
"For me it's the video sessions, the extra downloads & love letters that helped me the most!"
