Mindful Creative Practices
Calming the central nervous system with an analog activity like mixing colours settles a busy life & rewinds digital overload
All you'll need a little space for a sketchbook, a flower or two picked from any garden & creative ideas we'll share with you
Our lives cannot feel great if we keep on filling it with distractions - the mind needs a place to settle, your body needs a space to sit down & create while your heart needs a place to belong to
And so we created the Practice - a sacred space made for your head, hands & heart to reconnect with you

this sacred place awaits you as a living archive of colour & happiness in your life
Start where you are - the rest will find you when you feel confident
Build on what you love now & create more later,
that's the freedom mindful creative practices give you
this practice means - time for yourself
life becomes easy & work feels less stressful when we let go of the pressure to create with an outcome - we need a way to do the other things we love, even if it's only for a little bit of time

calm practices does this for you
and if that's where you can start, then a simplified practice is perfect for you to try without committing to doing more things that feel like work

Whatever your reason for turning to a quieter mindful practice... your mind will release stuff, begin to flow with ideas & come to you at your table
Messy tables are normal as we keep the Practice warm, creatively inspired, invitingly joyful & mindfully calm - all to help you take a well deserved break at least once a week & return when you can
We made it as simple as watching a video & talking to a friend - and the real pleasure happens when you decide to make a page with me - not anything spectacular, just something beautiful for yourself
"I love watching you make a page come to life Tanya, you really make it look so accessible. And you know what; when I try it in my sketchbook I hear your voice guiding me - calming my worries and helping me settle in at the end of the day. I finally realised the pages in my sketchbook was for my healing, not for the world to judge!"
- Angela Hughes

"Its more about enjoying the flowing nature of the practice than reaching a rigid result - creative sessions - themed fro elevated wellbeing - and playful enough for the colours to blend in a sanctuary of mindfulness"
- Tanya J. de Wet
